The Romanian parliament in plenary session decided Tuesday with 224 votes to appoint Mircea Vasile Popescu vice-president of the Court of Accounts.

Lawmakers also decided 223 to one vote to appoint Aron Ioan Popa president of the Audit Authority. Gheorghe Oana and Petre Popeanga were appointed vice-presidents of the Audit Authority with 222 to two votes each.

The vote was attended by 234 lawmakers out of a total of 462, and 224 cast votes.
