Tanase said Bucharest will be a closed city during the three days of the summit, and traffic restrictions will be imposed on national road 1, north of the capital.

The NATO summit, one of the largest political events, will bring together in Bucharest leaders of the 26 allied states on April 2-4.

Officials of the two airports and of airliners operating there agreed with the decision to close the airports.
