Romanian Farmers Get RON200/Ha For Autumn Crops – PM

He said maximum subsidies will not exceed EUR7,500 per beneficiary, regardless of the land owned.

 

Estimations of the Ministry of Agriculture indicate some 435,000 farms will benefit from the payment scheme, Tariceanu mentioned.

 

Farmers have until November 15 to submit applications.

 

The Romanian government allocated additional RON600 million to the agriculture ministry during the third budget revision of 2008.

 

The government maintained budget deficit at 2.3% and increased revenues by RON6.4 billion and expenses by RON7 billion.
