Only Social Pensions Can Be Updated, Other Increases Depend On Budget – Romanian PM

Following discussions on the unitary pension system law with pensioner association representatives, the prime minister said a decision whether or not to increase the other pensions would be taken in April.

The prime minister also said that the social initiative Fund which is to be set up by the Government will be based on budgetary resources, not company contributions, and will provide financial aid to retirees whose pensions are only slightly higher than the minimum social pension.
