Ontanu, Negoita Sure Winners For Mayor Seats In Bucharest 2nd, 3rd Districts-Exit Polls

Social democrat Neculai Ontanu is seen winning the mayor seat in Bucharest 2nd District with 57% of the votes, according to an exit poll conducted by the Company for Sociologic Research and Branding, quoted by Antena 3 TV channel.

According to the same poll, democrat liberal Liviu Negoita would win the mayor seat in the 3rd District in the first round of local elections as well.

Liberal candidate Andrei Chiliman (38% of the votes) will vie with democrat liberal Razvan Murgeanu (37%) for the mayor seat in the 1st District, while conservative Cristian Popescu (35%) will fight democrat liberal Radu Silaghi (26%) for the mayor seat in Bucharest 4th District.

In Bucharest 5th District, social democrat incumbent Marian Vanghelie, who received 35% of the votes, will take on democrat liberal Sebastian Bodu (27%), while democrat liberal Cristian Poteras (39%) and social democrat Dan Darabont (28%) will compete for the seat in the 6th District.

An exit poll conducted by INSOMAR also shows Ontanu and Negoita as sure winners for mayor seats in Bucharest 2nd and 3rd districts, respectively, according to private TV station Realitatea TV.
