“There are times when I sit at night and wonder how efficiently the money is spent,” Tariceanu said in reference to the additional money allocated to the educational system
Speaking at an economic event in Buzau, southeast Romania, Tariceanu urged local investors to offer attractive jobs both to the existent work force and to Romanians abroad, who sought better paid jobs outside the country.
“Rather then let them sleep under some bridge in Italy, you better call them home. The authorities have to make efforts and ensure jobs. The demand must meet the offer and then you yourself will have to gain,” Tariceanu told investors in Buzau.
At the same time, Romanian investors should expand operations to markets such as Moldova, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia and the Balkans, Tariceanu said.
