Although the gig was sold out, organizers Emag!c Entertainment and Metallica’s management decided to reposition the stage, to make room for more fans on the Cotroceni stadium in Bucharest and said Tuesday an extra 1,500 tickets would be put up for sale at midnight Tuesday.
One of the most beloved rock bands of all time, Metallica was formed in 1981 and has so far released eight studio albums, two live albums, two EPs, sold over 100 million records worldwide and won seven Grammies. The band is working on its ninth studio album, to be released this year.
Metallica has played Romania before, in June 1999, in Bucharest.
