Tramcar Derails In Romanian Capital, No Victims

Passengers can take buses that have been introduced on the tram’s route.

Mihai Vladarau, spokesperson of Bucharest public transport company RATB, told MEDIAFAX the tramcar ran off the rails at the Progresul-Calea Rahovei juncture and tramcar traffic was halted.

Vladarau added a commission will be set up to investigate the causes of the accident.

The public transport company introduced several buses on the Alexandria Street – Unirii Square route to make up for the lack of trams.
