According to the AEP, by March 17, 11:00, 5,160 applications for voting by mail were received on the portal www.votstrainatate.ro.

Also, the registration process for voting at polling stations abroad ended on March 4, with a total of 2,611 applications submitted, of which 2,238 were validated. These applications allow the organization of polling stations in localities where at least 100 voters have requested this, with the agreement of the authorities in the respective countries.

Romanians in the diaspora can vote at any polling station outside the country, regardless of whether they have registered on the official portal or not. Registration on the platform is mandatory only for those who wish to vote by mail or to request the establishment of a new polling station in a specific locality.

For those who still wish to opt for postal voting, the registration deadline is March 20, 2025, 11:59 p.m. Voters must have their domicile or residence abroad and submit the necessary documents, which can be consulted on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
