Romanian Electrica Serv Cut 1,400 Jobs This Year

„Since the beginning of 2011, we have laid off some 1,400 employees, with the unions’ approval and with severance pay. Electrica Serv now has some 7,000 employees,” Electrica general manager Ioan Folescu told MEDIAFAX.

Between 2008 and 2009, Electrica Serv dismissed 1,700 employees, in activity optimization actions.

Electrica Serv will be divided into five service companies, which will unfold maintenance works for telecom and electricity networks.
