National Szeckler Council In Romania Pushes For Autonomy

The National Szeckler Council in Romania (CNS) intends to complete, before February, the internal referendum on the autonomy of the Szeckler County, while some 200,000 people already said they are in favor of autonomy.

CNS vice president Ferencz Csaba told MEDIAFAX that some 200,000 voting people in central Romanian counties Covasna, Harghita and Mures said they are in favor of autonomy within the internal, unofficial, referendum on the autonomy of the Szeckler County, while the referendum pushes on, in January, in several localities.
 
According to the decision of the CNS Standing Commission, the internal referendum on autonomy will be completed by the end of January and CNS representatives hope that some 250,000 will vote pro on the matter.
