Romania To Decide In Next Period If Taking External Loan – Pres

Basescu said the IMF concluded Thursday its report on Romania and the letter of intention draft. The central bank and the Finance Ministry will start negotiations afterwards.

Basescu said a decision on taking the loan would be taken after the negotiations.

Romanian authorities are currently discussing with the IMF, the E.U. and other international financial institutions a financial package that could amount to EUR20 billion.
