Several Romanian inmates in a Spanish penitentiary got into a brawl with a group of Muslim inmates, Tribuna de Salamanca informed in its online edition.

The guards were forced to step in to avoid the occurrence of victims, sources said.
 
However, at least two inmates needed medical attention. Guards recovered several iron crowbars used by inmates. "They came with everything they had," penitentiary sources said.
 
The reason for the brawl remains unknown, but the likeliest hypothesis is that a Romanian inmate was attacked by a Muslim one. This confrontation turned into a collective battle, the second event of this type in the past two weeks in this prison.
