Three Detained For Fraudulent Driving License Release In C Romania

Three people, including an agent of the local driving license service, were detained in the case of fraudulent release of driving licenses and registrations of cars in Sfantu Gheorghe, central Romania, General Anticorruption Department (DGA) spokesperson Sarmizia Fetcu said Thursday.

Fetcu added the rest of the nineteen people placed under investigation Wednesday are middlemen.
 
The three will be presented to the Covasna Court Thursday and prosecutors will require their preventive arrest.
 
Nineteen people, including five agents of the local driving license and car registration service in Sfantu Gheorghe, a clerk of the local mayoralty, a noncommissioned officer of the local emergency inspectorate and three car inspectors were placed under criminal investigation Wednesday for alleged bribery and influence peddling, the General Anticorruption Department said.
