"Our first message is that the Macedonian delegation will leave the NATO summit today, because we feel we have to be near our people,” Milososki said.
He added the Macedonian delegation would have a brief meeting with U.S. president Bush to discuss the role Macedonia would have in the region.
Milososki harshly criticized the Alliance’s decision not to invite Macedonia to join NATO.
"It is regrettable for the principles of democracy that Macedonia was punished today not for what it has done, but for what it is,” Milososki said.
He added the name of the Republic of Macedonia, the reason the country was not invited into NATO, will not be changed and the delegation present at this summit is convinced the country met all the criteria for NATO membership.
