Romanian Liberal Party Did Not Convince Silent Majority To Vote – Liberal Leader

Antonescu said that, in his opinion, the party’s performance was poor, owing to the fact that the party did not succeed in convincing the “silent, disgusted, disheartened majority to turn out and vote.” He said the result in figures will be discussed once the final tallies are made public.

The Liberal leader criticized the two ruling parties for failing to prevent frauds in the elections. Antonescu thanked people who voted “honestly” and the Liberals who participated in the campaign, adding that the Party has not lost hope.

Exit polls put liberal candidates on third place, with roughly 16% of votes.
