Apartments completed in the urban environment represented 50.8% of the total residential constructions in the first three months of 2009, unlike the same period a year earlier, when most of apartments were constructed in the rural environment.

Most of constructions built in the first quarter of the year, namely over 95.6%, were financed from private funds, dropping by 197 units on the year, while the number of residential constructions build from public fund also fell by 109 units on the year.

The number of residential buildings finalized in the first three months of the year fell in all the country’s development regions. The most significant decreases were reported in the center (672 dwellings), northwest (593 apartments).
