The lack of efficiency of the current education system is proved by the score obtained by the Romanian students in international tests, which is below the European average, Prime Minister Emil Boc said Saturday on Realitatea TV.

He said this is why the national education draft law needs to be promoted fast.

According to the prime minister, the results obtained by Romanian students in international tests on literature (428 points), mathematics (426 points) or sciences (441 points) are below the average of 500 points obtained by other European states, such as Bulgaria, Hungary or Latvia.
„The current education system, which relies on rapid accumulation of knowledge, can no longer resist,” Boc said.
