The report will be developed by an inter-ministry committee made up of the ministers of Economy, Labor, Interior and Environment, as well as officials of the Ministry of Finances and of the National Authority for Energy Regulations.

The prime minister made the request in a meeting held Monday at the Government headquarters in Victoria Palace.

In May, after talks with International Monetary Fund officials, President Traian Basescu said subsidies will be drastically reduced, including subsidies for heating. The president said the money obtained after subsidy cuts will be allotted to those who really need financial help.

The additional letter of intent to the stand-by agreement with the IMF, presented last week by MEDIAFAX, states the Government will eliminate the 13th salary, vacation bonuses and heating subsidies.
