Romanian Pres Points To “Ethnic Cleansing” In C Romania

The president said he will give up this idea if “at least a manager, somewhere,” a director in these local administrations is Romanian.

 

Basescu wondered if "there is one single Romanian worthy of being at least a chief of office in a mayoralty run by a Magyar ethnic."

 

"This (the thnic cleansing in Harghita and Covasna) took place and I will agree it is no longer the case when I see the first Romanian in the Sfantu Gheorghe mayor’s office," Basescu said.

 

He added such things cannot be hidden and to say they never happened would be a falsehood.
