Gas Blast Injures Seven In S Romania
According to the spokesperson of the Dambovita county police, commissioner Pamela Ropotan, the blast occurred in one of the rooms of a house in Ocnita when the owner lit a match to light the fire in a methane gas-fueled heating stove.
The police called on site representatives of the gas distributor Distrigaz, as investigations showed the blast6 occurred due to an accumulation of gas.
The blast was not followed by a fire, however, all the windows broke, the walls cracked and nearly everything in the house was destroyed.
Two of the injured were had severe burn and were sent to hospital in Bucharest, while the rest remained at the Targoviste hospital.
Distrigaz ceased the distribution of gas in the area and took the gas meter for investigations.
The neighboring homes were not affected by the blast.
