Player Wins EUR6.2M In Romanian Lottery

The EUR6.2 million jackpot in the Romanian 6/49 lottery game has been won Sunday evening by someone who bought a ticket in the eastern Romanian city of Iasi for 20.5 lei (EUR1=RON4.2447), the Romanian Lottery said.

The six lucky numbers were 28, 21, 12, 7 23 and 11.

The last time someone won the Loto 6/49 jackpot was on March 7, when the sum amounted to EUR1.7 million. The biggest jackpot in the history of the Romanian Lottery was of EUR12.45 million and was won on January 27, 2008.
