Jazz Masters Bring „Five Peace Band” To Bucharest In Oct

According to ticket website Bilete.ro, the five artists will present their "Five Peace Band" show and ticket prices are to be announced soon.

 

John McLaughlin is a jazz fusion guitarist from Doncaster, Yorkshire in England. He recently had a sold-out show in Bucharest. He came to prominence with Miles Davis’ electric jazz-fusion groups from the late 1960s. He is regarded by many as one of the most influential and technically gifted guitarists of all time, having mastered a remarkable range of styles and genres, including jazz, Indian classical music, and fusion.

 

Famous jazz pianist Chick Corea has also played Bucharest before. A multiple Grammy Award winning American jazz pianist/keyboardist and composer, Corea participated in the birth of the electric fusion movement as a member of Miles Davis’ band in the 1960s.

 

Christian McBride is an American jazz bassist, widely considered to be one of the best bassists of his generation.

 

Kenny Garrett is an American post bop jazz saxophonist and flutist, whose career has included 11 albums as a leader and numerous Grammy nominations. During his career, Kenny has performed and recorded with many jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, McCoy Tyner, Pharoah Sanders, Brian Blade, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, Bobby Hutcherson, Ron Carter, Elvin Jones, and Mulgrew Miller.
