The event will showcase the new logo and slogan through which Romania will be promoted as a tourist destination in the coming years. „The brand’s specifics will be underscored through a performance by the great Gheorghe Zamfir,” says a press release of the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism.
Visually, the logo is „fresh, inspired by one of the Romanian people’s most powerful symbols,” and follows the modern trends of „return to nature, discovery, preservation,” according to the cited source.
The creation and promotion of the tourist brand, financed through European funds, is part of a new project to promote Romania’s touristic potential, for which EUR75 million is allotted until the end of 2013. The brand aims to raise Romania’s foreign profile as a tourist and, indirectly, business destination.
