Romanian Transport Minister Radu Berceanu will preside over the High-Level Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation Security (HLSC) held between March 26 and April 1, 2010 in Montreal, Canada.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) unanimously elected Berceanu to chair the conference.

Over 1,000 representatives in 190 countries attend the conference chaired by Berceanu.

The reunion is highly important in point of drafting a new international strategy in the field of aeronautical safety, which will further help reshape the priorities of all ICAO Member States for the 2011 – 2013 period.

Romania’s Democratic Liberal Party said in a press release that assuming the presidency of the High-Level Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation Security is an international recognition of the importance of measures taken and initiatives proposed by democrat liberal Transport Minister Radu Berceanu in the field of aviation security.
