Afghan President Expressed Deep Sympathies For Romanian Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan

Karzai told a news conference after his meeting with the Romanian president that he gives thanks, in the name of the Afghan people, for the invitation to attend the NATO summit in Bucharest and the opportunity to visit Romania, "a very beautiful country ".

 

Karzai expressed deep gratitude for the assistance of Romanian troops in a difficult region as Afghanistan, stressing Romania’s major role in the fight against terror and its efforts to help rebuild the country.

 

The Afghan president also thanked Romania for its help in military equipment and training of Afghan soldiers.
