Prince Charles, on private visit to Romania, will meet Tuesday with Romanian President Traian Basescu and prime minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu.

Unremitting concern over the preservation of historical monuments, mainly those in central region of Transylvania, has brought Charles to Romania several times now.

During the last few years, Charles has focused on the rehabilitation program of several villages in Transylvania dating since the 12th century, some of which are part of UNESCO patrimony.
