Pro TV’s three news stories depict the situation of Romanian children abandoned by their parents gone to work in other countries.
“We are honored to be one of the best and we hope to reach the finals,” Pro TV News reporter Paula Herlo said.
The finalists at the 2008 International Emmy Awards will be announced on August 11 on the academy’s official site www.iemmys.tv.
Pro TV News is at its second participation in the Emmy Awards, after last year it competed with the “Tibetans at the Chinese Border” coverage by cameraman Sergiu Matei.
The news coverage made it to the semifinals.
PRO TV is part of Central European Media Enterprises, the leading television broadcaster in Central and Eastern Europe.
