Romania’s Ruling Coalition To Discuss National Energy Strategy

The Romanian ruling coalition leaders met Monday in weekly session for talks about the country’s energy strategy, which will be later discussed by the government and the country’s National Defense Council CSAT, Prime Minister Emil Boc said Monday.

Late April, Romanian economy minister Adriean Videanu presented CSAT a report including updates to the country’s Energy Strategy for 2007-2020 and measures for the reorganization of state-owned energy companies, which will be approved after it is discussed by the government.

The meeting was attended by Senate chairman Mircea Geoana, Prime Minister Emil Boc, several ministers, the head of Romanian Intelligence Service George-Cristian Maior, the head of the foreign intelligence service Mihai Razvan Ungureanu, General Staff head, Gheorghe Marin, presidential adviser for international relations, Anca Ilinoiu, CSAT secretary Ion Oprisor, and the spokesperson of the Romanian President, Valeriu Turcan.
