Gas Prices To Hike In Oct On Higher Imported Russian Gas Price – Distrigaz Sud

Gas distributors E.ON Gaz Romania, the local unit of Germany’s giant E.ON, and Distrigaz Sud, majority-owned by French utility Gaz de France, already asked Romanian energy watchdog ANRE to hike natural gas prices for household consumers by some 10% as of October 1.

ANRE will analyze the gas distributors’ requests.

In its most recent adjustment, the Romanian energy watchdog increased household gas prices by an average 12.5% on July 1.

At that time, the two companies said the 12.5% gas price hike announced by ANRE covers only part of their costs and that they will ask for a new gas price increase as of October 1.
