The draft report invites Romania to provide an appropriate follow up to the recommendations of the working group on the individualization of penalties for corruption offences.

The draft report also invites the country to strengthen the role of its High Court of Justice in unifying jurisprudence, including through streamlining the procedure for appeals in the interest of coherent interpretation and application of the law and to elaborate guidelines on penalties for corruption offences.
