Ten Israeli Doctors Come To Romania To Help Injured Newborns

Ten Israeli doctors arrived in Bucharest to help the seven Romanian newborn babies severely injured in an explosion which took place Monday at the Giulesti maternity hospital, Bucharest Hospital Administration general manager Marius Savu said Wednesday.

Savu said the Bucharest city hall invited the ten Israeli doctors to came to Bucharest and help the team of Romanian doctors who are striving to save the lives of the seven injured newborns admitted at the Grigore Alexandrescu children hospital.

Four babies died and seven have been injured in the explosion which took place in the intensive care unit of the Giulesti maternity hospital in Bucharest. Romanian prosecutors opened criminal investigations into the accident to determine the people responsible for the tragedy.

Romania’s Health Minister Cseke Attila said Tuesday that the Giulesti maternity hospital will be closed down until the end of investigations.
