Taking Responsibility For Laws Tests Coalition’s Political Will – Romanian PM
“I’ve informed the members of the Cabinet about my decision to adopt these laws – the unitary pay law, the reform in the pension system, the education sector – under the responsibility of the Government in front of the Parliament. Why? For two reasons. First of all, to check if the coalition has the political will to sustain these structural reforms the two parties committed to in the Partnership for Romania, and secondly, to see if these reforms, which no other Government and no other Parliament had the courage to approach in the past 20 years, benefit from parliamentary support,” Boc explained.
Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc told ministers in the beginning of the meeting that this session seeks to make sure that the laws on wages in the state budget sector and on pensions will be drafted by the planned deadline and the time-frames for their adoption would be speeded up.
