On the sedan segment, Dacia registrations decreased by 34.7% in November to 943, from 1,445 last year, while the overall Spanish sedan market saw a decline of 30.6%, to 54,946 units, according to car importer association ANIACAM.
Dacia’s market share on the sedan segment decreased to 1.72% in November this year, from 1.82% in November 2009, and the Romanian car brand was ranked 17 by sales.
Dacia’s SUV, the Duster, was market leader with 1,195 registrations and a 12.11% market share. The Duster was followed by Ford Kuga and KIA Sportage. The Spanish SUV market registered an increase of 27.6% in November, to 9,864 units.
In the January-November interval, Dacia registrations were up 157% to 19,742 units, from 7,680 units, and the overall Spanish car market registered a 5.9% increase to 913,073 units, from 862,219 units, according to ANFAC.
Dacia sedan sales were up 93.4% in the January-November interval, to 14,857 units from 7,680 units, and overall registrations on the Spanish market increased by 3.32% to 818,996 units, from 792,477 units.
Dacia’s market share almost doubled in the before mentioned interval to 1.81%, from 0.97%, according to ANIACAM.
The Duster, which was launched in March, is ranked fifth among best sold SUVs in the first 11 months of the year, with 4,885 units and a 5% market share. Ford Kuga was market leader with 10,865 registrations and an 11.2% market share.
The SUV segment rose 35% in the first 11 months, to 96,938 units.
