The man was arrested for 24 hours and is a suspect in other three cases of false alarms.

According to the Romanian Police, the man recommended himself by the name “Said ben Laden” and announced on Tuesday evening that he installed two recipients with sarin gas at the aforementioned locations, prompting the deployment of special forces units. No threats were found at either objective.

The suspect was handed to organized crime prosecutors in Brasov, who already had a warrant for his capture.

The man is also suspected of falsely alerting authorities three times throughout 2018, once threatening to discharge explosive material in central Bucharest, and two other times announcing that airline flights would explode on the runway of the capital’s “Henri Coanda” Airport.
