Rafila: Restaurants, especially those without terraces, will probably be late in opening
The president of the Romanian Society of Microbiology (SRM), Alexandru Rafila, has said on Monday that restaurants, especially those that operate indoors and have no terraces, will be delayed with reopening, in the context in which, after 15 May, hotels could resume operations.

"Probably, as soon as the traffic will reopen and the hotel units will be opened, the holidays with the family cannot be prevented. They will probably be more in the country than abroad, because you see that each state adopts a different policy regarding the reception of foreigners coming from abroad. It will be a problem related to the access to the public catering units because probably the restaurants, at least in the format we know, will be delayed with the opening, especially those that operate in closed spaces exclusively and do not have terraces", stated Alexandru Rafila at Digi24.
The SRM president also said that, during the summer, measures will be taken depending on the epidemiological situation.
Romanian hotels could be reopened on May 15, according to a recent announcement by prime minister Ludovic Orban.
