The leu opened higher against the euro Wednesday, tracking its peers in the region, but uncertainties regarding a possible government reshuffling limited the leu’s appreciation.
At around GMT1000, the leu traded at 4.264/4.2655 per euro, after it hit an intraday high at 4.256/4.257 per euro.
On the money market Wednesday, overnight rates fell to 5.7%-6.2% a year.
