Requests’ Number To Leave Gaza Rises To 40 – Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry

Romania’s Embassy in Israel received until Saturday, by GMT 1000, 40 requests for consulate assistance in leaving the Gaza Strip, of which 34 come from Romanian citizens (9 women, 3 men and 22 children), and 6 from Palestinian citizens, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said.

The Romanian Embassy in Cairo resumed efforts to obtain an answer from the Egyptian authorities regarding the entrance of Romanian citizens to Egypt via Rafah crossing.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry reiterated the recommendation to Romanian citizens in the Gaza Strip to contact the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv in order to start procedures to exit the territory.

The ministry consolidated the team of the Romanian Embassy in Israel. Romania’s diplomatic missions are working non stop to offer assistance to citizens wanting to leave the conflict area.
