The contract for the purchase of 150 trolleybuses will unfold over 72 months.

The Bucharest City General Council approved on September 25 the draft decision giving RATB permission to buy 150 trolleybuses between 2010 and 2012. At the same time, according to the decision, the older Astra Ikarus 415T models will be withdrawn from RATB’s lot.

The trolleybuses will have a low deck, air conditioning and a mechanical ramp to allow the access of wheelchairs and baby carriages.
