Romania To Reorganize State Inspectorate For Construction, Set Up Regional Departments
According to the normative act, 125 ISC employees will be laid off.
„The State Inspectorate for Construction is the first institution with decentralized services in Romania that will be reorganized considering development regions instead of counties. The measure aims at rendering the institution’s activity more efficient,” Tourism and Regional Development Minister Elena Udrea said in a press release Wednesday.
The ministry, which controls the ISC, will set up seven regional departments for construction plus the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Department for Construction.
Romania currently has 42 county inspectorates for construction. Their reorganization entails cutting 125 jobs (60 management positions and 65 regular positions) to 750 from 875.
