The group was coordinated by a Turkish citizen who is serving a 16-year sentence for international drug dealing in a Romanian penitentiary.

Investigations in the case have been carried out between November 2010 and March 2011, said the Romanian Police.

Authorities confiscated about three kilograms of heroin, 115 methadone pills, two digital scales, two cars, 44 mobile phones, a laptop, EUR17,815, $2,469, 28,045 lei (EUR1=RON4.2048) and other objects.

Prosecutors asked the Bucharest Court to issue preventive arrest warrants against the eleven drug dealers. The court will analyze the request on Monday.
