Chief commissary Ioan Bentze, who is handling the case of the death of Marian Cozma on behalf of Romania, said the two suspects announced by the Hungarian policies were identified, www.prosport.ro reported.
“We were given the photos of the two suspects, Rafael Sandor and Ivan Sztojka. We suspect they might be heading to Romania or Serbia. Both are Hungarian citizens,” Bentze said on Gsp television station.
The Hungarian Police said Wednesday night they are making investigations to find two suspects in the case of the killing of Romanian handball player Marian Cozma, who died Saturday night.
Police said the suspects are male. One is 1.70 meters tall, athletic and has dark hair, and the other one has shaved head, is athletic, 1.65- 1.70 meters tall.
Romanian handball player Marian Cozma, aged 26, was killed Saturday night in a club in Veszprem, Hungary. Serbian Zarko Sesum and Croatian Ivan Pesic, other two players of the team MKB Veszprem, were involved in the incident.
Local press said Cozma was stabbed in the heart and was the only one who did not survive. The other team players were taken to hospital, as they were stabbed too and had severe wounds.
Cozma played for Romania’s national team in the World Championship in Croatia and before the transfer to Veszprem in 2006, he had played for Bucharest team Dinamo.
