Romania’s Transport Ministry halted between Jul 21 and Jul 31 the application of fines for drivers lacking road toll stickers, following the introduction of new sticker models, which could have affected stocks of several distribution points.

“The national roads and highway company finalized the distribution of the new road toll stickers models. As far as we know, almost all the distribution points received them,” said sources inside the company.

Label maker Eltronis started mid-July the delivery of 200,000 road toll stickers valid for one day, one week and one month, to the Romanian national roads and highways company (CNADNR).

On July 3, Eltronis and CNADNR concluded a frame contract for the supply of road toll stickers for a two-year period, and the subsequent contract for 2008, for an estimated EUR2.5 million, VAT not included.
