Romania: 11.339 people infected with COVID-19 / 303 cases, reported in the last 24 hours
A number of 303 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours, with the total number reaching 11.339 people diagnosed in Romania, has announced, on Monday, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

„Since the entry into force of Military Ordinance no. 2 and so far, 2.217 people who have not observed the period of self-isolation have been placed in institutionalized quarantine. Also, 168 people in quarantine left the location where they were placed, for which the quarantine measure was ordered for a new period of 14 days. To date (Monday - ed.), in Romania, 11.339 cases of people infected with COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 3.141 were declared cured and discharged", according to GCS.
The quoted source also presents the report of the National Institute of Public Health, which indicates a number of 2.650 infected in Suceava county and 1.190 in Bucharest.
At the same time, so far, 631 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in Dolj, Bucharest, Iaşi, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiş, Cluj, Neamţ, Hunedoara, Constanţa, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomiţa, Bistriţa- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Vrancea, Galaţi, Caraş-Severin, Mureş, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeş, Vaslui, Botoşani, Alba, Sălaj, Braşov, Mehedinţi, Teleorman, Gorj and Prahova, have died.
At the moment, 227 patients are hospitalized at intensive care.
On the Romanian territory, there are 11.906 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 23.012 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
To date, 143.834 tests have been processed at the national level.
"In the last 24 hours, 425 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 1.197 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing the citizens", mentions GCS.
