Romania: 186 new cases of COVID-19. The number of infections reaches 762
A number of 186 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Romania on Tuesday. Thus, the number of infections reaches 762 nationally, announces the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

"To date, March 24 (Tuesday), on the territory of Romania, 762 cases of people infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the 762 positively confirmed persons, 79 were declared cured and discharged (53 in Timişoara, 19 in Bucharest, 3 in Craiova, 2 in Constanta, one in Cluj and one in Iaşi). To date, March 24, 8 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection and pre-existing chronic diseases, hospitalized in hospitals in Bucharest, Suceava, Craiova and Iaşi, have died. Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, other 186 new cases of illness have been registered", according to the quoted source.
Newly confirmed patients are between four and 85 years of age.
At ATI, at this moment, 16 patients are admitted, of which six are in serious condition. The health of the other patients is good, stationary.
In the territory of Romania, in institutionalized quarantine there are 5.515 persons for whom checks are carried out to detect if they have contacted the virus COVID-19 (coronavirus). Other 83.970 people are in isolation at home and are under medical supervision.
To date, at national level, 12.624 tests have been processed, of which 461 in private medical units.
In the last 24 hours, 1.473 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 8.171 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), which has been opened specifically for informing citizens, GCS notes.
Until Monday, 160.233 cases have been reported in EU / EEA, United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases are registered in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
