Romania 1H Exports Rise At 2nd Fastest Pace In EU
Imports were up 20% to EUR21.9 billion, EU’s statistics office Eurostat said.
Romania’s foreign trade gap was EUR4.7 billion in the first six months, flat on the year.
Concerning the total trade of the EU states, the largest surplus was observed in Germany (EUR74.3 billion in January-June 2010), followed by Ireland (EUR20.4 billion) and the Netherlands (EUR19.3 billion).
The United Kingdom (with -EUR52.8 billion) registered the largest deficit in the first half of the year, followed by France (-30 billion), Spain (-26 billion), Italy (-14.2 billion) and Greece (-12.7 billion).
