Romania 7-Mo FDI Falls 36% To EUR1.9B
Romanian foreign direct investments, or FDI, fell 36% to EUR1.9 billion in the first seven months, from EUR2.9 billion in the year-earlier period, the central bank said Friday.

Equity stakes (including reinvested profit) stood at EUR1.33 billion in January to July, while intra-group loans amounted to EUR480 million.
FDI covered half of the country's current account deficit in the first seven months of 2010.
Romania's current account deficit widened 38.5% to EUR3.79 billion in January to July, from a gap of EUR2.74 billion a year earlier.
