Romania 9-Mo FDI Falls 40% To EUR2.1B
Romanian foreign direct investment, or FDI, fell 39.5% to EUR2.07 billion in the first nine months, from EUR3.42 billion in the year-earlier period, the central bank said Friday.

Equity stakes (including reinvested profit) stood at EUR1.33 billion in January to September, while intra-group loans amounted to EUR732 million.
FDI covered nearly half of the country's current account deficit in the first eight months of 2010.
Romania's current account deficit widened 32.6% on the year to EUR4.23 billion in January-September.
