Romania’a Women’s Handball Team Gets Top Score In European Championship Preliminary Group

Romania’s women’s handball team is the only team with maximum score in the preliminary Group A of the European Championship held in Macedonia, after the match between Hungary’s and Denmark’s national teams resulted in a tie.

Denmark had defeated France in the first match of the European Championship by the score 24 to 23, while Hungary lost the match against Romania by the score 21 to 27.

France has zero points after losing two consecutive matches, thus Romania ranks first in Group A with four points, followed by Denmark with 3 points and Hungary with one point.

The Romanian team is the only one qualified for the first main group in the European Championship.

The last matches of Group A will take place on December 7. Hungary will play against France, and Romania will meet Denmark.
