Romania Civil Code Sub-Committee Regulates Correspondence Rights Of Kids Aged Up To 14
Romania’s legislative sub-committee analyzing the Civil Code decided Wednesday that parents are allowed to interfere with the correspondence and social interactions of children aged up to 14 “only if they present solid reasons” in this respect.

Sub-committee president Daniel Buda said this amendment, formulated by conservative deputy Bogdan Ciuca and democrat liberal senator Iulian Urban, is imperative in the Civil Code, as it allows parents to interfere with the correspondence and social interactions of children aged up to 14 in cases and situations that could affect the child’s interests and welfare.
